Contest Center
Logjam is a California Coalition of Surf Clubs sanctioned event. Clubs come from all over the state, and surfers from all around the US. The following clubs send teams, and if you are interested in competing, contact the captain of your local surf club as they select their teams.

Logjam! annually attracts over 100 competitors ranging in age from 7 to 60+, from all over California. Contestants bring their cherished vintage “logs,” pre-1970 longboards weighing 20 lbs or more. They are surfed without a leash; truly a show of classic longboarding!

Heat Schedule
Saturday: Heats begin with Dawn Patrol at 7AM, and runs through 5PM
Sunday: Starts at 7AM and runs through 5PM
Surfboard Raffle Draws and Awards at 5PM

2023 Logjam Photos

Media coverage of past Logjams has included The New York Times Soul Surfers Rekindle the Love of the Longboard - The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the San Jose Mercury News, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Longboard Magazine and the Santa Cruz Good Times. Internationally, our event also was featured in Switzerland’s largest newspaper, Tages Anzeiger.
